An alternative is to get a cheap Santa costume from what we call a 'pound shop' here (a discount store), then photograph someone in poor light wearing it in your front room, from behind, eating at the table. The leave the picture casually discarded somewhere the kids will find it. Cue explosion of excitement! That’s a clever idea.
