Other resources in addition to TWC that I check out are my fox hurricane and of course the national hurricane center.

I dunno, you may want to sit tight until first of next week, or if not you'd better head home now? Either way, keep me posted....I got to stay close by, expecting my first grandchild any time now. Yippee!!

Hung up on you? LOL!

As you can see I haven't yet made it out the door. Debating...go?...stay?...go and dash back?...hmmm...watching The Weather Channel for updated news.

The projected path of Hurricane Ike has moved more times in the last couple of days than I can keep up with.

Just tried to purchase a plane ticket to Houston/Galveston departing Friday, they hung up on Me? LOL! I was trying to meet up with Jim Cantore, (TWC) see if I could hold the camera or wipe the lens off?

Okay, I'm a Hurricane Geek...hurricanes fascinate me, I don't know why? With that said, I do feel for those in the path and the remnants they will be faced with...hopefully all will evacuate, it's an unfortunate consequence people living along the coast have to deal with.

Yes, I was recently in the middle of the ContraFlow one step ahead of Gustav.....all roads Forcing traffic Northbound. It was pretty smooth for a while, but then what a major %#@(*&!%#*$# when we were bottle-necked from 4 lanes into two. Bumper to bumper for miles; then when we did find a rest area it looked like the Fair was in town...everybody had the same idea...

Whenever we would stop for food, gas, etc. unlike any other time of the year on the road, everyone made eye contact, and simply said "Be Safe"
