Arkansas IS a peaceful, restful, and beautiful paradise that Arkansans have been smart enough to keep a secret for a LONG time. Thank you for your input! Often while home working in my office I think of the many authors and artists who retreat to a place of beauty and solitude to work. Our place SO reminds of a place such as that. We have the scenic beauty and peace and quiet yet we are probably moreso connected to the world than many in some urban settings with our excellent cable internet service. There are many times I go for days even weeks without ever even venturing away from home because I so enjoy the atmosphere here yet I'm not totally alone EVER with my internet connection to the rest of the world. When I'm ready to venture out for some action, I just take a 30 minute drive or less to enjoy all kinds of recreation including art and entertainment which I forgot to point out in the post. It HAS been heavenly and I hope I can find another place like it or at least similar to it in MO when we relocate. You are SO right, Melodieann!
