Boomer from New Joisey!

Welcome! If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed so you won't miss the Blarties (=blog+party) on the weekends. To find out more about our Blarties check out this post, too. Looking forward to seeing you on the weekends!

Hey, Angela’s away and she said I could come here and play! Thanks, Angela, and I hope you are having a GREAT time!

Yep, I’m a Jersey girl, and most definitely a Baby Boomer…and I’m gonna set the record straight about my fine State…what you see in the movies, you know, all the oil refineries, the NJ Turnpike shots, that’s not what NJ is all about. We’ve got great farmlands, and lots of rural and beautiful places. AND New Jersey isn’t an extension of New York..why do I say that? Because my DH, Paul is a Colorado mountain man, and whenever his kin-folk talk about where we live, they call it New York; when they come here, they’re comin’ to New York, and want New York pizza. Cute!

We are also famous for being kinda weird, or so two guys have said in a book that’s pretty popular, in fact, some of that weirdness takes place right in our own backyard (well almost).

We’ve got our share of GREAT rock ‘n rollers and other famous folk from NJ, like Bon Jovi, Bruce Springsteen, and the fine Whitney Houston and Dionne Warwick to name a few…and what about the actors, Susan Sarandon (oh oops, she’s an acTRESS), Tom Cruise, Bruce Willis, and Kevin Spacey? There’s lots more famous folk, more trivia, and general weirdness to be found at “Is New Jersey Weird?”.

Well thanks, Angela, it’s been fun…and yes, love the music! Gotta get me to one of your “Blarty’s” soon! Claudia ;-)

  2. Hey Rhea,

Where are/were you from? I stopped by your blog and see mention of Boston, my Grandparents were from that area. Great for this Nutritionist in NJ to hear from you! Thanks for saying “hey”.

    Claudia :-)
