Let’s Get This Blarty Started!
Welcome! If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed so you won't miss the Blarties (=blog+party) on the weekends. To find out more about our Blarties check out this post, too. Looking forward to seeing you on the weekends!
UPDATE on the ChocoBlarty at this post.
I know, you’re wonderin’, “What the HECK izza BLAR-ty?!” It’s a blog party complete with music! Actually, it seems somebody’s been havin’ a blarty already recently over at Mark’s GoingLikeSixty.com blog. I was flattered to discover the blarty going on here has helped Mark “tune” his 3 R’s, i.e. readin’, writin’, and rockin’.
I added the player a short while back cuz I LOVE music of all kinds, especially the stuff that keeps me feelin’ young. I don’t know ’bout you, but I intend to be and remain young at heart until….well, just until…. Life is for livin’ and I ain’t stoppin’ NOW just cuz o’ some number that says I ain’t (is TOO in the dictionary!) anymore!
Soooooooooooo…at Mark’s request to “Keep it up…”, I’ve decided that every Friday from now on we’ll have a weekend long blarty here at BBNR&O. Every Friday I’ll add up, switch up, ‘n mix up the songs on the player to keep it fresh. If you’ve got any ideas to pump up this blarty, holler at me.
So break out the microwave popcorn and let’s BLAH-tehhhhhhhhh!!!
Popularity: 43% [?]

Yay! I\’m making the ChocoMuffs now.
Glad you will be the dj or mixer or tunemaster.

Holleerrrr…How ’bout some Styx, “Too Much Time On My Hands”, or anything up tempo, “Proud Mary” (Tina Turner).
I love Interstate Music as I call it.
Interstate Music (definition): Hit the Interstate, put “Too Much Time On My Hands” in the old CD player, Crank up the Bose, Pedal to the Medal, Get out of My Way, read my license plate: U R 2 SLOW, Interstate Music.

Yum, Mark!
ROFLOL, Hope! I’ll add those to the request list for the upcoming Friday since I just added ZZ the other day.
Ok…gotta go…kickin’ ‘n screamin’ as DH draaaaaaags me out the door ta go da Gander Mountain? A-NUTH’r one o’ those huntin’/fishin’/outdoor stores…….AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!! I HATE shoppin’! ’specially this kind o’ stuff!
Comment by angela — September 9, 2007 @ 11:31 am
Okay…Styx “Too Much Time On My Hands” was always a favorite of mind when I was in School, last year. LOL
Like it said, I love Up Tempo, Interstate Music.

Could you put Pink’s laugh on a loop?
I think Get This Party Started needs to be the ChocoBlarty theme!
Comment by Going Like Sixty — September 9, 2007 @ 8:20 pm
Pink on your site. Milli Vanilli on the pop out from your site, and Close To You instrumental on Debs site.
LOL - Where’s my Pavoratti CD????
Chocolate RRRRRRRRRRRRush!
Comment by Going Like Sixty — September 9, 2007 @ 8:25 pm
LOL!!! Pavoratti…choco rush!!! U funny!!!
Great idea to make the song the ChocoBlarty theme!
Hmmm…the laugh at the beginning of the song…I don’t think I’d be able to do that because the creators/publishers of the Player I’m using have obtained rights/licenses to play the music via the player. I wouldn’t be able to play any of the music outside of the player without obtaining a license myself and I’m sure we can all imagine what that would cost. I wish I could cuz that’s another GREAT idea!
So, pass the plate…LOL! Unfortunately, the artists probably won’t accept ChocoMuffins so it’ll have to be a cash only plate, k? LOL! J/K!
Pop out? Not sure I understand what you mean. Can you s’plain it to me?
Keep the creative juices flowin’, would ja?
I REALLY need to revamp the appearance of this blog, but it’s going to take some serious work and time, and I’ve got a lot of other work (cash payin’ now kinda work) on my plate for the next month or so.

Just what I needed on this humid, rainy and hot morning. I started by blasting “Attitude” by Patti LaBelle on my laptop and continue with more strong women music. Thank you!!
Hugs,
Yvonne

Never been to a blarty before. Thanks for the invite. Boomer divas unite! I listened to Supertramp while I took my walk this morning. Helps to keep the legs moving.
Checked out your playlist but didn’t find any Boston or Areosmith.
Blarty On!
