Personally, I don't like the dude, but he STILL cuts a mean "Goin' Down" (a mix of scatsound and James Brown in a helluva cool next of lyrics! I remember all the words, too!). Davy, on the other hand, is content with his horses, a few gigs, and tryin' his hand at occasional TV roles. He's not into it like he once was. (Think the Tork thing finally got him to wise up!) Mike Nesmith is a pure genius with a warm but VERY private heart! He's devoted to his production company and Texas ranch. Rarely does gigs anymore. Interesting to note that Warren Beatty tried out for the "tambourine" role that Davy got. Also, David Bowie changed HIS name from his given (Jones) in honor of Davy. Annnd (there's more?!?) Stephen Stills almost got Pete's role, but, when he was told his teeth were too crooked (really!), he recommended Peter for the "quiet one" of the prefabbers.
