Nostalgic and Fun 50’s, 60’s and 70’s Links

Welcome! If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed so you won't miss the Blarties (=blog+party) on the weekends. To find out more about our Blarties check out this post, too. Looking forward to seeing you on the weekends!

How about taking a vacation with your better Boomer half re-living the 50’s or 60’s cruising with hundreds of classic cars as they tour nostalgic old US 27 (now known as US 127) from Coldwater, Michigan to Cheboygan, Michigan? Click on over to the Old US 27 Motor Tour website for more information.

You can really setup the mood for that vacation with some vintage clothing. You’ll find some fun and memorable vintage fashion at the Debutante Clothing blog, and at the online vintage clothing store, Vintage Grace.

If you’re not able to make it to the motor tour you can always click on over to TVparty.com and reminisce while surfing for some classic good time oldie-but-goodie TV show DVDs. If it aired in the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s or maybe even the 80’s there’s a pretty good chance you’ll find it at TVparty.com.

You can also run over to cruisinoldiesradio.com or flamingoldies.com internet radio stations and fire up your media player for some oldies music. You’ll have to check the schedules to see when you can listen to your favorites. Since I didn’t do a thorough search this time I’ll try again some other time when I have a little more time.

The following link doesn’t really have anything to do with Boomer nostalgia except maybe the sign you’ve become a “disco dancin'’ blogoholic. Oh well, hope you’ll at least get a chuckle out of it anyway.

If you don’t think the Top 5 Signs You’ve Morphed Into a Disco Dancin’ Blogoholic apply to you then check out this list of 50 signs You’re a Blogoholic at Jonathan Deamer’s blog.

  1. All the old stuff I wore as a child is coming back. Kinda scary and makes you feel old, but it looks great most of the time.

  2. Yes, it is, isn’t it? You know, the smart ones are the ones that shop the second hand stores…they get the interesting things of yesteryear AND a bargain price.

    Thanks for stopping by!

  3. It’s a walk down memory lane…vintage clothing brings back memories and is fashionable with the younger crowd too! Must check out those internet radio stations soon.

  4. I really think I was born in the wrong era. I have a fondness for the fifties, the music, tv, clothes. I almost feel out of place in the loud, rude, materialistic times we live in today.
Here’s another link for fun retro stuff including
    1950’s retro furniture

  5. Oh wow, Retro Lady! Visited your store and saw the Hula Dancing bobblehead…love it! It’s been a long time since I’ve seen one of those.

  8. I am just loving every bit of music on here. I must have been born in the wrong era because I feel like I should have been living it up in the 50s and 60s. Nice post and nice choice on the music!
