A Father’s Gift to His Son

Welcome! If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed so you won't miss the Blarties (=blog+party) on the weekends. To find out more about our Blarties check out this post, too. Looking forward to seeing you on the weekends!

With Father’s Day just around the corner on June 17th I thought the excerpt from To a Child Love is Spelled T~I~M~E would be very enlightening not only to fathers, but also to mothers, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and anybody else that can give the gift of making a difference in the life of a child. The excerpt is a poignant story of a father’s discovery of his own gift to his son. After clicking on the link you will arrive on the page of a reader provided by Amazon.com (these are not sponsored links, btw). Click on “Excerpt” in the “Sections” tab on the left of the page and then click on the arrows on the right side of the page titled Castles Built on Sand to begin reading the story.

I discovered this story when my own daughter forwarded a newsletter to me from www.mrpositive.com by Dave Boufford. After reading it my hope is that when all is said and done my children, grandchildren, and God willing, my great-grandchildren feel I’ve given them the time they should receive and deserve just for being.
