TGIT. We’re just a few hours away from TGIF. Why should I care? I don’t have to wake up to an incessant alarm clock reminding me I have to commute to work in the nerve-wracking traffic of the morning rush hour. I do, however, have to rise early in order to get my grandson off to school. Since daylight savings time kicked in early last month, he and I both have had a time getting up early.

Whose bright idea was it to start Daylight Savings Time anyway?! And THIS year somebody decided to make guinea pigs out of ALL of us to see whether or not we can save energy by stretching DST out longer and having more sunlight! Any compensation for us for this trial? It’s work to stay awake this month. DST is catching up with me this month. (more…)
