Social Networks & Communities Online Enable Contact Around the World

Welcome! If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed so you won't miss the Blarties (=blog+party) on the weekends. To find out more about our Blarties check out this post, too. Looking forward to seeing you on the weekends!

Social networks and communities online seem to be exploding or is it that I’m just now discovering them? It’s amazing to see how people around the world are able to interact these days. Recently I joined MyBlogLog.com, BlogCatalog.com, and BlogCave.com.

I’ve been a member of Ryze.com for several years and active on my favorite Ryze.com network, Women In Networking, for about two yrs. With the exception of Ryze.com, I’m still learning my way around these networks and communities.

Yesterday I received yet another invitation to another online networking community to which I’d like to invite you to join with me, Apsense.com. It appears to be similar to Ryze.com in a number of ways and is the most attractive to me so far. There are a variety of ways to interact with your Apsense.com network including groups, bulletins, and an ad network. You can view a Flash presentation about Apsense.com to learn more about it before joining.

If you’re a woman entrepreneur submit your request to join my private group, Women Entrepreneurs of the New Millenium within Apsense.com. I made the group a private one so I have at least a little control over some of the common annoyances that come with online forums. I used the term “women entrepreneurs” instead of work-at-home-moms or stay-at-home-moms simply because not all women entrepreneurs are moms. Many of us either have passed that stage in life or haven’t experienced motherhood and possibly won’t for whatever reason.

I’ve met and developed relationships with a lot of women entrepreneurs on Ryze.com the last couple of years. Some of them are listed under Angela’s Friends over in my left sidebar. They offer a variety of business and personal products and services from copywriting to business and personal coaching to herbal teas. Take some time to visit them and see what they have that will benefit you in some way.

Expand your network by clicking on the links below to join me in my other online social networks and communities.

Do you have other networks and communities to share? How have they benefited you? What have you been able to contribute to others in your network? Have you made any connections that brought about a major change in your life or someone else’s?

  2. Thank you for the welcome wishes for success, Stephen.

Although I’m a mother & grandmother myself, I respect the wishes and circumstances of women that aren’t.

  6. I am encouraged by all the networks available to Boomers and Seniors. They are re-inventing themselves and becoming entrepreneurs through their experience and knowledge.
