Sending loving thoughts to the Mothers of Virginia Tech victims

Filed under: News, Reviews, & Observations, Observations — angela @ 11:44 am

Welcome! If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed so you won't miss the Blarties (=blog+party) on the weekends. To find out more about our Blarties check out this post, too. Looking forward to seeing you on the weekends!

My friend, Nancy, is such a thoughtful lady. She’s collecting donations to cover the cost of Journals to be sent to the Mothers of the victims of Virginia Tech.

These journals should arrive in the hands of the mothers just about the time things will begin quieting down. Hopefully they will find writing in these journals to be a means to begin healing from the pain that has been so cruelly thrust upon them. God be with them.

If you would like more information about making a contribution you can find it at Teacup Talk.

Life definitely isn’t slowing down for these Boomer Babes!

Filed under: News, Reviews, & Observations, Observations — angela @ 6:17 pm

I’m happy to see there’s fun on the horizon! As I approach that era of my life when things are supposedly supposed to slow down I sometimes feel a twinge of disappointment. Sure I enjoy the slower pace of life now that the nest is empty, but that doesn’t mean a little excitement now and then wouldn’t be welcomed.

Hey, don’t use it, you’ll lose it. These Boomer Babes have given the rest of us Boomers permission to keep it. :-) You can view the fun loving Granny Cheerleaders video on YouTube.com at this link.
