Marilyn Jenett of Feel Free to Prosper.com has an amazing knack for dropping her newsletter into my email inbox at just the right time with just what I need to hear, learn, or be reminded of in regards to practicing the Law of Attraction.
You see, yesterday I was feeling just a little discouraged about the timing of some of my dreams and goals. Maybe it has something to do with approaching the half-century mark of my life and sometimes wondering just how much time I have to accomplish and enjoy some of the things I desire to do, see, and have.
Well, yesterday I was pleasantly surprised to discover Marilyn had been prompted in spirit to ease my concerns AGAIN. Upon checking my email I discovered her newsletter with the following article in it. I LOVE it when this happens! Especially after also being led to the scripture Daniel 9:23 which says, “As soon as you began to pray, an answer was given.”

How Long Does It Take For a Thought to Reach Fruition?

How long does it take for a thought to come to fruition? How does “time” relate to the outer manifestation of our inner thought/idea/desire?
I have been asked that question before. How long does it take?
I have had “positive thoughts” come to fruition in what seems faster than the speed of light - well, when it happens that fast, it seems like it. 
My experience has been that the time element for the manifestation of a thought or idea depends upon several things:
1. Our belief in what the time element will be. The majority of people cannot grasp the possibility that something can happen immediately, or very quickly. They have a preconceived idea as to the amount of time they “think” it could or should take in “real world” time. And that can translate into a self-fulfilled prophecy.
2. Our ability to “release” the idea. Holding onto it, clutching it, analyzing it, obsessing over it, forcing it, attempting to control it oneself…these will all delay the manifesation. When we release it and let it go, that’s when the creative forces of the Universe come into play and take over. We plant our seed in the garden of our mind, nourish it with faith and expectation, and release its growth to the creative forces that know exactly how to bring the elements together to develop it.
3. The elements that need to be brought in alignment by the creative forces. Once we conceive the idea, there are elements of which we are completely unaware, that begin moving toward us and the fruition of the idea. There is such a thing as perfect timing for an idea, just as there is perfect timing in the growth of a seed to a plant. So the speed of fruition will depend upon the Universal availability of the individual elements necessary for fruition.
4. Our trust. When we trust in the entire creative process (related to “release”), we are relaxed and confident, which speeds up the manifestation.
5. Done deal. When we think and feel that our idea has ALREADY come to fruition - that is the fastest way to bring it into reality. We are here now. We have a vision for the so-called “future”. But in consciousness, there is only NOW. So by accepting our idea as a done deal, we are compressing time. We are taking that bridge from “now” to that “future” fruition and we are compressing it. We are bringing that future moment in time to us right now, in this moment. The fruition becomes “now”. In my opinion, THAT is the absolutely fastest way to bring a desire to fruition. And when we can do this, we won’t care about the time element, because what we want is already happening for us right now in our thought and feeling. We already have it. We don’t desire something we already have. We are living it. And it rushes to us at the speed of consciousness.

I feel especially blessed to have found this article. The timing is perfect. I am currently struggling with my visualization.. specifically point five in the above article.
This has been going on for a couple of weeks now. After spending time alone visualizing what I desire. My head immediately goes into a “Plan B” mode in case the universe doesn’t grant my request. Which it actually does grant since my last request was the anticipation of or preparation for failure.
I have to remind myself of one of the main principles is believing that “… our idea has ALREADY come to fruition - that is the fastest way to bring it into reality.”

P.S. Sometimes I question my requests. Do I come up with Plan Bs because deep down inside I don’t feel I deserve my desire or because it isn’t something that I really want. Hmmm.

Hi Victor! Marilyn is wonderful at communicating this so it’s easy to grasp, isn’t she?
I can relate to your questions, too. I do the same sometimes. I know NOW that I’m worthy of my desires, but didn’t quite grasp that earlier in life.
I think it’s a good thing to search our hearts and decide if it’s something we REALLY want to see come to fruition, though.

The Secret movie was an awesome example of how the law of attraction can summon the universal powers to manifest people situations and material things into your life.
All of the presenters had compelling stories that described in detail how their lives changed once they applied the secret principals.
I watched the movie several times only to discover the secret was never revealed nor did they explain how to actually make the law of attraction work in your favor.
I searched for a year and finally discovered exactly how the secret law of attraction works.
Anybody can put the principals to work for them and change their life dramatically in a short period of time.
It’s true, they are laws and they work all the time but its your choice to make the law of attraction work for you and not against you.
