I use Mary Kay's Microdermabrasion Set and LOVE it. I've been using it for 2 years now and can't imagine doing without it. I am not sure about sandpaper. It sounds "scarring". There are however microdermabrasion kits take home version very similar to the spa grade quality. It's gentler.
