…the cable to my satellite dish????!!!! My adorable, sweet black Lab, Penny, seems to be rather fascinated with that cable for some reason. This is the 2nd time this year she has chewed it into. She’s not cutting teeth. She already has all of her teeth. She’s not bored or lonely. She has her brother, our yellow Lab named Pedro, with her all the time and they do everything together.
As I walked past the full-view front door this afternoon I caught site of Penny feverishly digging…right at the base of the pole that holds our satellite dish. So, I stopped to see what she was digging and then saw the cable that feeds into our house had a VERY big piece missing. Um, it was laying a few feet away on the ground.
I opened up the door and scolded her immediately. M-m-m-m-e-e-e-e-l-l-l-l-t-t-t-t-t…she just sat down and looked at me with a look that seemed to ask, “But why not? It was fun trying to see where that pole goes to down in the ground.”
Pedro? Hehehe…his behavior indicated that the “Not Me” ghost was back. One of our adult kids must have brought “Not Me” back the last time they visited and left him/her with the pooches for a little mischievous fun. (That’s ok, we’ll be visiting THEM this weekend and “Not Me” is going home where he/she belongs.)
Now you’re going to wonder just as I did why I made my next move. I went in search of the TV/Satellite remote and proceeded to test the TV and satellite dish. Duh! Why? Maybe my mind simply did NOT wish to believe or accept what my eyes had seen?! I don’t know.
Well, it was obvious I wouldn’t be watching HGTV or Food Network today. Fortunately DH will be home tomorrow and will be able to replace the cable…again.
Me to our loving, mischievous pooches—–> “Now, let’s see, which of you would like to be a good doggy and bring him the honey-do list along with his newspaper to break the news to him…Penny? Pedro? Not Me?”
