The Dogwoods are GORGEOUS!

Welcome! If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed so you won't miss the Blarties (=blog+party) on the weekends. To find out more about our Blarties check out this post, too. Looking forward to seeing you on the weekends!

It is finally truly officially spring this week as far as I’m concerned even though the calendar said so a week or so ago. The dogwoods are in full bloom as are the buttercups (call ‘em daffodils if you wish, but I’ve always known them as buttercups). I am so blessed to have a view right outside my door and windows that is peppered with dogwood trees! This week they came out in full bloom and are beautiful.

This time last year we had more until loggers came along and logged the property on our northern border. They did, however, leave a couple of lonely dogwoods with no other trees to shade them or frame them. The white petals of the blooms seem to fade away into oblivion on those dogwoods instead of delicately peeping through the new green leaves of a forest filling in with color at the onset of Spring. :(

I enjoy even the rainy days because when it’s over everything is so much more lush than before. And the smell of spring…oh my gosh! I love everything about spring. :)
